Meet C.B.
C.B. writes middle-grade fantasy. Over the years, she's taught art, French, design and drama to kids from Pre-K to Grade 12. She's worked in places as diverse as a German international school and a remote island school reached only by water taxi or floatplane. She lives on Vancouver Island, Canada, with her husband and tiny dog empress, Bisou. In a prior iteration of her life, C.B. worked as a 3D modeler and texture artist.
When she's not up to her elbows in papier mâché and paint, washing glue from her hair or losing the timeless battle against glitter, C.B. loves wandering along coastal beaches and scrambling over cliffs, expecting any number of real or imaginary creatures to leap out at her from the tangled rainforest.
C.B. is currently seeking representation for her debut novel, Land of Marsh and Maple. She's just finished her second novel, The Tadpole Connection, an excerpt of which was shortlisted in CANSCAIP's 2022 national Writing for Children Competition in the Middle Grade category.
C.B. is a member of SCBWI and CANSCAIP, Pitch to Published, and a local critique group.
